Salt City Woods, Mill & Kiln
At Salt City Woods, Mill and Kiln, we offer a variety of products and services. We have a large selection of locally sourced kiln dried slabs and dimensional wood. Our inventory changes regularly and normally includes varieties such as Ash, Butternut, Maple, Oak, Sycamore, Cherry and Black Walnut.
Our new 5ft x 10ft CNC machine is a great new addition with our EcoPoxy! We are now able to flatten tables/ bar tops and slabs. Work with our craftsmen to design a custom piece that fits perfectly in your home, office, restaurant or business.
Locally Sourced
Repurposing, Reusing and Educating
Our slabs are kiln dried in house and sourced from all over the CNY region. Our wood comes from yard trees and street trees that have been taken down by municipalities and tree services. We then take those trees and save them from the firewood pile or from being ground into mulch. We are not loggers and simply repurpose a great natural resource into usable material that will continue to live on.
We take the time to educate clients and customers on the types of wood, kiln drying, carpentry tricks and epoxy coatings. If you have a question, please ask. We are here to help.
